YKKO Riding Club
A great way to explore the outskirt of the city, enjoying beautiful landscapes on horseback!
Located in the outskirt of the Yangon region, a two hour drive from the center of Yangon, The YKKO riding club is an ideal place designed to provide indoor and outdoor horseback ridings around the Hmaw Bi region to places standing away from the mass tourism in Yangon. The riding club, founded by U Nyain Linn (the chairman of YKKO Kyay – Oh & BBQ House), is located in Hmaw Bi Township in Yangon Region and a one hour-drive from the center of the city. During the outdoor riding riders can enjoy the real nature of the outskirt of the city. Passing through the Rubber plantations and observing the collecting of sticky sap from Rubber Plants along the outdoor horseback riding and seeing the making process of flat Rubber are one of the ideal ways to explore the ways of life of the local people in the region. Riders can make a stop at Pann-Ta-Pwint-Taung monastery, famous for its venerable monk also known as Pan-Ta-Pwint-Taung Sayadaw who has founded a Monastic Education School in his monastery compound for students around the region, who cannot afford their further education. Another visit can be done at Phar-out Meditation Center surrounded by the peace and tranquility. Before returning back to your riding club, you can take a short break at Phu – Gyi dam surrounded by its peaceful atmosphere, which has been mainly providing a clean water supply to the city of Yangon after the British colonial administration. With this dam standing in the outskirt of the city all riders can enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the rural area. Riding along the bank of this dam is the best way to admire the scenic beauty of the dam filled with fresh wind blowing from above the water surface of the dam.
